Charles Rigdon

DIED

RIGDON —­At the residence of his son-in-law, J. F. Burt, in Indianapolis, Ind., June 23d, 1885, Charles Rigdon, aged 87 years.

Deceased until recently, was a citizen of this county, where he lived for many years, and was one of the early pioneers of the county. For a great many years he resided on a farm owned by him in Somerford township. He was an honored and consistent member of the M. E. Church fof fifty years, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him for his strict integrity and good citizenship. He leaves five children living, Julia Ann, widow of Calvin Bales, deceased; Emeline, wife of Thomas Bales, of Deer Creek township; Margaret, wife of D. D. Davisson, of Springfield, O.; Jennie, wife of J. F. Burt, of Indianapolis; and Mary, wife of Dr. George, of Indiana.

The remains were brought to London on Wednesday last and buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
