Rev. O. G. Colegrove

O. G. Colegrove

Rev. O. G. Colegrove, pastor of the Universalist church, Plain City, Ohio, was born near Hanover, Mich. October 30, 1864. He graduated from the high school there in 1883; from Lombard Theological School at Galesburg, Ill., in 1887. He held pastorates: 1 year at Decatur, Mich.; 3 years at Morrison, Ills.; 4 years at Kent, O.,; 3 years at Blanchester, O.; 9 years at Woodstock, and 2 years at Plain City. He was 7 years State Superintendent of Universalist churches in Ohio, (1898 to 1906), and for 8 years has been editor of the "Convention Circular," the official religious newspaper of the Universalists of Ohio. The church and paper grew under his terms of service. He is popular not only among his own denomination, but among the people generally. His wife, Mrs. Minnie Colegrove, is a licensed minister and missionary in Ohio and popular in all social and philanthropic work. The Universalist church in Plain City is counted as one of the active forces for good.
