Turner's meat market is already a historical place. It was established nearly thirty-eight years ago by the father of the present popular proprietor, who has rounded out more than a quarter of a century as its owner.
Mr. Turner kills only native cattle, and pays the highest price for them; makes pure lard, fine sausages, and offers to his customers the choicest of meats. Neatness, modern sanitary appliances, and his genial self make his place one of the most popular in the city.
Mr. Turner has recently purchased the Second Street bakery, and put in charge Mr. Walter Sheets, an experienced baker.
A first-class bakery will now be conducted. Fine rolls, bread, biscuits, pastry and cakes will be supplied. Mr. Turner is prominent in faternal orders, being a .KP. and an Odd Fellow.
