Prugh & Foster

This firm consists of Earl E. Prugh and Doctor John Foster, who purchased the grocery business of Cartzdafner company on the 9th of February, 1908. Doctor John Foster is well and favorably known to all the people of the county, being a native thereof. He practiced medicine for 12 years and served as mayor of London for two years, making a record for good business ability. Mr. Earl E. Prugh is a native of Clarke county, but was raised in Madison. He has been well educated, graduating from Wesleyan in the class of '99. For seven years he conducted the cigar and news store in the London Hotel and made a great success. He then entered the employ of the Frank Schantz Co. as salesman and remained with them till January of this year.

The new firm is therefore well-known in the business world and well-equipped for a successful mercantile career. The business so far has been a most gratifying one. Only pure, fresh and standard goods are handled. The store is neat, clean and thoroughly up-to-date and its proprietors prompt to serve you with the best groceries money can buy.
